The municipal and denominational counseling centers in Bochum offer professional help for parents, children, adolescents and young adults up to the age of 27. Counseling is free of charge, confidential and is aimed at anyone who lives or works with children in Bochum.

• Separation, divorce or contact arrangements

• Fears, grief or experiences of violence

• Problems at school, in training or at work

• Individual discussions with parents, children, adolescents and young adults

• Family discussions and discussions with other caregivers

• Mediation in separation and divorce

• Crisis intervention in acute situations

• Behavioral observations (e.g. in the home environment or kindergarten)

• Cooperation with schools and daycare centers

• Group offers for children and young people

Confidentiality and expertise

Counseling is provided by experienced specialists in psychology, social pedagogy and curative education. All employees are subject to a special duty of confidentiality.

The advice centers in Bochum East and Bochum Southwest also offer advice in Turkish.
