Confidential help with mental health problems
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service of the Bochum Health Department advises children and adolescents up to the age of 18 - as well as parents, teachers, school social workers and anyone who would like to help. Counseling is free of charge and confidential.
What does the team help with?
Suicidal thoughts, self-harm
Anxiety, depression, panic attacks
Bullying, social withdrawal, school avoidance
Eating disorders, identity issues, media consumption
Aggressive behavior, listlessness
Crisis situations with danger to self or others
Deep sadness, concentration problems, addictions
What else does the service offer?
Relief talks in acute crises
Mediation and coordination with youth welfare office, schools, clinics and therapists
Support in accessing further assistance
