Regional Education Network Bochum (RBN)

The Regional Education Network Bochum (RBN) is a cooperation between the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the city of Bochum. Since August 2008, it has been pursuing the goal of improving educational equality for children, young people and young adults in Bochum. The focus is on the question of how the best framework conditions for successful educational biographies can be created.

The network brings together all stakeholders in the educational landscape - schools, daycare centers, providers, associations, parents and many more. It promotes exchange, strengthens cooperation and ensures that local solutions are developed and implemented together. The focus is particularly on educationally disadvantaged children and young people and their families. The principle is: "Treat unequal things unequally" - individual support instead of blanket approaches.

Regional Education Office Bochum

The Regional Education Office Bochum (RBB) is the organizational and coordinating unit of the network. It is part of the Education Networks staff unit in the School administration office of the city of Bochum and acts as a central point of contact for all those involved in education.

The education office supports projects, accompanies processes and ensures the implementation of network goals. It offers advice, arranges contacts and promotes the development of innovative educational offers in Bochum.
